7/15/10: LLA management has been contacted by a representative of AT&T regarding a proposed new cell tower installation on private property located along Boyers Mill Road. The proposed location of the tower is not located within the Eaglehead PUD, however AT&T, as part of its due diligence, is required by law to inform all nearby property owners.

AT&T has scheduled a public meeting for Tuesday, August 17, 6:30PM, at the West Winds outdoor pavillion. This is located at the West Winds Golf Club, 11330 Country Club Road. This meeting will give local residents an opportunity to review the proposed plan, ask questions, and provide feedback.

The public meeting before the Frederick County Board of Appeals is planned for September 23, 2010, 7:00PM at Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, in Frederick.

Click here for details on the project and a point of contact from AT&T should you have any questions or are unable to attend the public meeting.

7/13/10: COLDSTREAM ESPLANADE CLOSED: Due to separation of a section of the Coldstream esplanade, it will be closed until further notice. Structural engineers are assessing the situation and will be making recommendations to LLA management on the best course of action. Until necessary actions are taken, the esplanade will remained closed to the public. Also, for parents, please advise all family members that this includes any jumping from the structure.

LLA management apologizes for any inconvenience, however, must first consider the safety of members.

  • UPDATE 7/16/10 - Engineers have completed their inspection of the esplanade and will be providing a report and recommendations to LLA management next week. However, this appears to an issue that will not be a quick fix and may take many weeks to prepare and complete the repairs.
  • UPDATE 7/28/10 - The esplanade will remain closed through at least the end of September
until the engineers can complete the structural review and provide further direction. This review will require a draw down of the lake to inspect the foundations, therefore, the LLA Board of Directors has decided it would be in the communities best interest to keep the lake at
it's current level through the remainder of the summer season.

7/12/10: A $500.00 REWARD HAS BEEN POSTED BY LLA FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTRUCTION OF THE COLDSTREAM VILLAGE SIGN ON OR ABOUT JULY 10, 2010.

4/26/10: Community patrol officers will become highly visible again throughout Eaglehead, especially at amenities, starting Saturday, May 1, 2010.

Residents are reminded to make certain their vehicles are properly identified with the LLA vehicle ID tag. The 2009 gold sticker is valid through June 13; after that date all residents should be showing the 2010 burgundy sticker.

All members/residents also are reminded to carry their membership cards while at the amenities. Guests must be accompanied to the amenities by members, who have membership cards with them.
